Can you guarantee a pick-up or delivery date?
Young’s Transport will make its best attempt to accommodate your needs. We will not guarantee any specific delivery date due to unexpected delays as in weather, traffic, breakdown driver illness etc… When booking your move with Young’s Transport, you will be provided with an estimated transit time that your shipment will take and we usually can provide you with YOUR DRIVER’S cell phone # and you will be able to stay in touch with him or us at the office for a better time frame while in transit.
Do I have to be present for pick up or delivery of my vehicle?
Yes, we request you, or a designated person age 18 or over be present upon pick up or delivery of your vehicle. An inspection is performed on your vehicle and a contract bill of lading must be signed. If you are not able to be there, please contact our office at 239-288-7225 and we will be happy to help you.
Is there really such thing as door-to-door service?
Door-to-door service means the truck driver will get as close as he can legally and safely. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. Transport trucks are 80 ft. long and weigh 80,000lb. They need lots of space to maneuver and turn around. Transporters may be restricted by narrow streets, low-hanging trees, low bridges (downtown Chicago) speed bumps or tight turns; The driver may ask you to meet the truck at a shopping center or large parking area close by. You will be required to meet the driver at a destination like this close to your home.
